Delight of Eating Healthy:

Welcome to my blog of eating healthy. My goal of this blog is to share with you recipes that I have made that are healthy vegetarian recipes.
I plan to share recipes and photos of what I made. As time allows, I hope to share at least one recipe a week with you and perhaps more than one each week. I would love to hear from you especially if you have tried a recipe.
A few months ago, I started researching on what is the best way to eat healthy. I am basing way of eating healthier from the Hallelujah Diet - it is a Biblically based way of eating. Now I am not a stickler when it comes to the HA diet, but even just incorporating more fresh vegetables and fruits into my diet I feel so much healthier. I also try to juice each day and have green smoothies often. When I say green smoothies - most of my smoothies have a banana and perhaps another fruit or two with a handful of greens such as spinach leaves normally and sometimes kale or other greens. Greens are very healthy and whether you get them in by juicing, drinking smoothies, or eating a salad or putting them in a wrap - I am working on trying to get more greens into my every day eating.
I am not doing "this diet" to loose weight, but "diet" is used in a way of eating healthier. Our bodies are the temple of God and we as Christians should be mindful and careful on what we put into our bodies. We should want to do everything possible to take care of what God has given us. What we eat does affect our daily lives. If we eat junk food, processed food, and dead food we will feel sluggish, tired, cranky, and probably worn out. Putting alive foods into our bodies we will feel so much better. We will be emotionally, physically, and mentally more alive.
Along with eating healthier we should take time to have our personal devotions and prayer each day - take time to spend time with God. Also, take time to spend with your family. Incorporate some type of exercise into your daily life whether it be stretches, walking, using a tread mill, or other type of exercise - try to aim for 30 min. a day. Walking outdoors is wonderful, but in the winter it isn't so easy.
I hope this blog will be an encouragement to you and I do hope you try these recipes.
My hope through this blog I can encourage others to start eating healthy so you can feel healthier.
